A goal of these events is to foster campus-wide collaboration as a means of developing innovative approaches to research. Craig Kent, professor and chair of surgery, noted that the research strength of the department, which ranks sixth in the nation in National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding, is a product of robust collaborations.
Numbers were slightly down, but the spirits were way up.
